Wow, how time flies... My Little Artichoke is one year old today!
In celebration of the last 365 days AND it being my birthday next weekend, I wanted to put together a special giveaway from me to one of my lovely readers!
Recently I was strolling along the beach and happened upon a bead store. I chose to make this necklace because as far back as I can remember I've had a fascination with skeleton keys; I even have my most favorite key that I've come across tattooed on my arm! Making this necklace was so much fun, I truly wish I had the time and money to make lovely little keepsakes for people.

One of my best birthday memories was when I turned thirteen and I was called to my school's office(kind of scary) and it turned out that my dad had left a peach colored rose for me(it matched a brand new shirt I wore for the first time that day). It made my day so special!

My most memorable birthday was for my 19th. I went camping for the first time and didn't prepare at all. It got dark so fast an we ran out of things to do! I think we went to bed at like 9 hahahaha. But in the morning we realized we are up our tent on a slant and we all ended up on the bottom right corner of the tent! We laughed so hard for like 30 minutes when we all woke up haha :D

i love b days !
when i was little before the age of 13 i had these beautiful white cheesecake from costco topped with all berries like blue , straw , rasp. , and black . That for me was my most memorable part of the day since I got to also decorate them with the berries . I remember my friends coming on by one .

I opened presents one-handed and it was weeks before doctors even agreed to give me an x-ray because I thought I was faking. It was a green stick fracture. But it was my most memorable birthday and my only broken bone ever!

My most memorable birthday story was last year. My grandma and I celebrated together. We went to Lucille's BBQ w/all the family and even her brother came down from WA. It was really great even though I was super sick with what I think was the swine flu. But it was the last birthday we celebrated together before she died a couple months later. It will always mean a lot to me.

My best birthday memory would be... about 7 years ago, a small surprise party with just 5 other friends. One of my best friends was waiting inside a closet, with the cake, and the candle lit! Amazing how no clothes got burnt. :)
