Cutest idea while packing your loved one lunch!

All these wonderful bookshelves make me happy.

Using pipe cleaners in place of ribbon? I will definitely be doing this for Christmas.

Loving the colors and DIY decor Melissa put together for her wedding. My favorite part, doughnuts instead of cake and on DIY vinyl record cake stands!

Where did the weekend go?

This past week has been busy, busy, busy and seemingly come and gone in the blink of an eye! My aunt was in town to help me move and I'm on the cusp of being completely unpacked and ready to get back on track with this thing called life!

As some of you may have heard (or experienced), there was a HUGE blackout on Thursday in San Diego (down to Mexico, up to Orange County and even into Arizona!) all because of one guy tripping a wire. Over 2 million people were left without power for 8 hours. I was at work when it started at 3pm and was instructed to stay for three hours in case the power came back on. By 6pm we were still powerless and panic set in when I jumped in my car only to be regreeted by that pesky orange gas light that had been on since the night before. It was a very stressful two hour drive home (a commute that usually takes ten minutes) on an empty tank... Thank you my very trusty VW!

On Friday Tiffany flew in and we grabbed breakfast at Cafe 21. I had a fancy pesto sandwich with poached eggs, pepper, tomatoes, mozzarella, greens and a side of homemade potato chips!

After breakfast we headed to our tattoo appointment with Jasmine. We had decided a bit ago to get matryoshka dolls for each other and they turned out adorable if I do say so myself! ps: This is my fastest tattoo healing to date! Three days in and it's already peeled, wow!

Buju! The tattoo shop is named after this pretty little lady.

By far the cutest tattoo shop I've ever stepped foot in.

Saturday was a busy day; acai bowls for breakfast, Belle's wedding, Beca's shop grand opening, the obligatory visit to Balboa Park and a quick trip to Sunset Cliffs.

Vegetarian entree at Belle's wedding.

Sunday morning we got up early and rented a Uhaul to move my furniture. Acai bowls for everyone!

This is what under your couch cushions looks like when you own a cat:

And a little sneak peek: I've always wanted a walk in closet!

Monday was dedicated to Hash House for breakfast so Tif would be nice and full before heading home to Salt Lake.

I can't believe I've never seen this Sony commercial; I loved the version of Heartbeats and what an incredible thing to witness in San Francisco.

It's funny that I don't like cucumbers, but i love pickles. This recipe for pickling cucumbers looks too good to pass up.

Watch at your own risk, this proposal is a tearjerker. Admittedly, I cried during almost all 7 minutes of it.

Lunches are usually packed up in a tupperware dish and baggy around here, but I think it's time to invest in one (or maybe one of each color) of these cute/handy/awesome bento lunch boxes by Goodbyn!

These vegan pink lemon cupcakes are too adorable and perfect for summer!

This kitty mama hugging her baby is too adorable.

I think I'm obsessed with Beca's wooden glasses and sunglasses, I've yet to buy a pair because I can't make up my mind of which pair I want!

Darling matryoshka doll cookie recipe.

And yet another corresponding email that I can't stop giggling over.

This adorable 5 month old babe can't quite figure out whether to be terrified or tickled of his mom blowing her nose.

Swooning over these unique converted homes.

The ten commandments of owning a pet, a letter from your animal to you.

Can I please have these fancy little artichoke dipping bowls?!

I don't know if anyone else here has trouble sleeping or staying asleep, but here are 10 sleeping tips that may be helpful on how to get a good nights sleep.

These cute shirts, I'll take one of each please.

Have you ever wondered what it would look like to tickle a penguin? Holy freaking cute!

Loving this convivial vintage engagement shoot.

Another hilarious corresponding email.

I'm loving this vegan backpacker blog, so many wonderful photos. Traveling and eating vegan food? That's pretty much all I do (or want to do for that matter).

Cribcandy, seriously full of awesome candy for your crib.

Guys, I'm a HUGE seafoam lover (aka honeycomb) and when I get better at making candy, I will be trying this recipe.

If you haven't already, could you leave me some feedback about my blog by filling out this 5 question survey?

I agree with Danielle, this is such a cute pregnancy announcement.

Shanalogic is another super cute online store of handmade and independently designed items.

Do you ever play Jewel Quest? I could (and have) play this game for hours.

Totally in love with this Londoners blog! Make sure to enter her cute giveaway.

What an elegant Paris wedding; this girl definitely got to live out her dream wedding.

Necromance

Necromance is hands down my absolute most favorite shop in the entire world. There are two locations in Los Angeles, just a few doors down from each other on Melrose Ave. Necromance has been around for nearly 20 years and I was introduced to these lovely little macabre hobby shops just a few years ago on a trip to LA. I immediately fell in love, definitely the most eccentric shops I've ever stepped foot in.

Since then I have acquired cute earrings, rings, diaphonized rat, diaphonized frog, pig embryo in jar, seahorse in a vial, tons of cards, postcards, and much more!

I mean clearly I need this for my future wedding:

Necromance sells the most amazing jewelry, home decor, taxidermy, prints, postcards, skull collections, old medical devices, pharmaceutical bottles, books, artwork, accessories, the list goes on... I wish this place was my house, I want to live here. They also do consignment. In fact, after I bought my favorite ring from Necromance, I found the etsy shop who make the rings and fell in love with a bunch of their other stuff too!

Needless to say, if you're ever in/around/within 100 miles of Los Angeles, be sure to check it out. Don't forget to say hello to Darwin and Donner, the wonderful two greyhounds that lay around the shop.

These textured wood prints done by Bryan Nash Gill are amazing. Through relief printing and a laborious rubbing technique Bryan creates a 52" x 38.5" print using ink and washi paper placed over a print block.

Every week I come across a more beautiful wedding than the last. This one has to be my favorite thus far.

What an adorable Boston Terrier in California video.

Cuuuute woodland ring set of 3 from Urban Outfitters.

Ahhh, the difference between lust and love. I found this to be very funny and so very true.

The next time I visit San Francisco, I'm going to make sure to stay at this hotel.

a softer world is another link I check on the daily.

First and foremost, I have seen this back to the future project cycling through the internet lately and it is truly brilliant. Photographer Irina Werning recreates childhood photos and does an incredible job at doing so.

Miss Yvonne Nicole made some fabulous looking raspberry cheesecake cupcakes that I can't wait to try!

My mom sent me this Awareness Test video back in 2008 and I re-watched it the other night while going through old emails. Definitely funny, you should try it!

Just scrolling through the world's scariest bridges gives me anxiety. I don't do very well with heights, so crossing almost any of these would be a nightmare for me.

How many of you have tried phyllo (aka fillo) dough pizza? Here is a yummy recipe for Phyllo Pizza with feta, basil and tomatoes.

I won my very first giveaway! I cannot wait for this lovely necklace from blessed bee to come in the mail!

These shots from the Zombie Walk in Paris are quite impressive.

I'm sure you've all seen it before, but damn you auto correct is hilarious!

Jon and I have been wanting this pup (or one just like him) so badly for some time now. Can we have him already???

This vintage wedding is so beautiful! I love everything about it.

I will take any and all of these prints by Charmaine Olivia.
