My favorite place for Fall

Without question, there is nowhere I would rather be than Salt Lake City during Fall.

The main event of this trip home was in honor of the hardest working, kindest and most giving man in my world retiring; Congratulations, Opa! Luckily it landed on probably the most perfect week of the year. Thanks to everyone (including Mother Nature) for making it everything it was. ♥

I left my heart in March: St. George (part 2)

While I was visiting San Francisco in early March, it was decided that a road trip to Las Vegas was in order to see one of my oldest and dearest friends (and roommate!) who had recently moved back from New York. Shortly after which my mom had contacted me that she would be in hiking in Southern Utah that same week during my little brothers spring break. Immediately I called my best friend in Salt Lake to fly her ass down to Vegas and drive with me back to Utah. The weekend altogether was a blast and so much fun that I'm still smiling.

We hiked inside some pretty amazing caves & lava tubes in Snow Canyon It was freezing cold & snowing pretty much the whole time but beautiful nonetheless Pit stop at The Sweet Tooth Fairy on the way back to our hotel Fairy funfetti, raspberry lemonade & strawberry shortcake cupcakes ...and lunch (y'all don't know about my love for Arctic Circle) Someone is ready for the hot tub in his grocery bag that doubles as a swimsuit Cinnamon rolls for breakfast before heading back to San Diego

A snowless Salt Lake Christmas

I've been a total slacker, but I'm finally getting around to an update of my trip home for Christmas, the first in four years!

My holidays were the most uneventful, so I was glad to be with family for a few days in December. I was terribly glum that it wasn't a winter wonderland, in fact Salt Lake has been MAJORLY lacking in snowfall this winter, but hopefully one day I will have my white Christmas...

One of the houses I grew up in. Sugarhouse Park, isn't that the most adorable?

Evergreen's resurrection... Golden Phoenix.

Totally in love with my Opa's new fridge!

Dinner and a movie with my two favorite ladies.

The Grinch: tomato, basil and balsamic vinaigrette in a sushi roll? Amazing.

My favorite cheesecake on Earth.

My contribution to the white elephant party.

Fire opal SOAP that I bought for my grandma, in love.

Making cookies for Santa Claus.

Christmas dinner with my mom: mahi mahi and wild rice.

Gift to myself since my fancy black polaroid was stolen.

This little mama was so happy to have me home.
