Since I've been sick in bed with nothing really going on other than movies, soup and scouring the internet, this link love has become a bit lengthy, but I promise it's chock-full of awesomeness!

PRB in Las Vegas

Every year Jon participates in the Punk Rock Bowling tournament in Las Vegas. Last year it just so happened to fall on my birthday weekend and this year, Memorial. It's fun, but busy busy.

This year Jon's team placed 8th of 150 teams, which included an awesome $400 for the team and a sweet trophy. We also put $60 on black (roulette) and doubled our money :) Here are some nifty pictures from along the way and stay tuned for a food post later this week. I hope you all had a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!

after yelping pizza in vegas, this little "pizzeria" inside the new cosmopolitan came up. everyone said it was hidden, and boy was it ever. it's impossible to find without asking someone and is located down a very little hallway between all these fancy restaurants. finding it was a little adventure and even more rewarding because the pizza was tasty.

Foodie Friday: Dining Out For Life

I'm happy that Jon and I both had the day off so we could partake in Dining Out For Life yesterday, such a great cause and a lot of generous restaurants willing to help out their community.

For breakfast we popped into Filter Coffeehouse. Jon got a regular iced coffee with a banana nut muffin and I got my regular vanilla soy blended chai. Filter uses Big Train Chai, my absolute favorite!

For lunch I made a quick snack (long to make, quick to devour) artichoke.

For dinner we met a few friends at Blind Lady Ale House, somewhere I've been wanting to take Jon because it's one of the few places that offers potato pizza.

Our friends are having a baby, so Jon picked up this adorable Keith Haring bib while he was in NYC.

After dinner we grabbed some dessert from Mariposa ice cream parlor, where all the ice cream is made in house. I was really craving a root beer float, but I opted for the mint cookie ice cream. Jon got a scoop of the banana walnut ice cream.

Perfect day full of awesome/guilt-free food, all of which helped raise money for AIDS service organizations :)

Did you eat out for Dining For Life?

outfit post

My very first outfit post! I wanted to share this one first because I get a lot of comments on this fabulous dress.

dress: lucca
belt: forever 21
shoes: bakers

While visiting Denver back in 2008, I came across this cute little number at Buffalo Exchange (a second hand store, for those of you without). I really liked the dress, but somehow managed to talk myself out of buying it then and there. Two weeks later I was back in Denver and decided if it was still there, I had to buy it... and to my surprise, it was! Now it's one of my favorite dresses.

These shoes I had to have after I fell in love with the pair of Diors that Carrie wears in Sex in the City: the movie. It's not often that you'll catch me in a pair of stilettos and as a matter of fact these babies sit on the top shelf of my closet in almost mint condition. Hmph.

Lastly, I have to give my good friend Kingston photo credit for taking these photos for me!
