30 things

Inspired by Danielle's post, I thought I would take the opportunity to share a little somethin somethin about myself!

1. I have no middle name and I like it that way!

2. My pinkies are crooked, just a little gene I picked up from my great grandma.

3. I can't stand the sound of someone whistling.

4. I've lived in three different states: Utah, Nevada and California.

5. I have a horrible habit of biting my fingernails.

6. For nearly two years I worked for the United States Postal Service.

7. My favorite color of nail polish is dark purple.

8. I lived in Salt Lake City for 18 years and I've never once been snowboarding or skiing.

9. I have a strong dislike for Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.

10. I've gotten stitches twice and both times were on my face.

11. I have recurring nightmares that I am back in high school, probably because I graduated early and chose not to walk with my class.

12. I've been out of the country once, in 2006, to Holland and Paris.

13. One of my favorite jobs was working as a Florist!

14. I haven't eaten at McDonalds in over a decade and will never ever go back (Taco Bell too!).

15. I have a fear of birds. I also hate when they chirp outside my window at 6:30am on the dot EVERY morning.

16. My favorite food is an artichoke, duh!

17. I believe that the world is going to end soon, possibly even while I'm still here.

18. I am an atheist.

19. I stopped eating pork somewhere in my preteens because my uncle had a black piglet named Sylvester that I grew attached to. To this day I feel like eating pork would be like eating my dog.

20. One day I will own a piglet of my own!

21. I love love love spicy food.

22. I've never broken a bone, knock on wood.

23. My body is always very cold, it could be July and my hands will feel like ice cubes.

24. I have never been on a cruise, but I hope to go on one soon!

25. I drive a Volkswagen Golf, I love my car a lot.

26. I have a slight obsession with female singers.

27. My favorite airline is JetBlue.

28. I excelled in Math during school, I just love numbers!

29. I've never been to a haunted house because I have an immense and irrational fear of the chainsaw guy at the end. This displeases me because if it wasn't for him, I would go to every haunted house ever.

30. I dislike the taste of chocolate, it's true.

  1. I've never even seen Star Wars, any of them. People always say it's a tragedy, which annoys me... a TRAGEDY is a tragedy. Missing the Star Wars boat is not a tragedy.

  2. I don't get all the Harry Potter stanning. Star Wars is alright (the first movies w/Harrison Ford uhm hello he is fine haha). I have NO desire to watch LOTR. I love Jetblue too, it's the only company I'll fly with. I really hate flying.

Are you vegetarian? Also, who are your fav female singers?

  3. Fawn,

The only Star Wars that I can remotely sit through is the first because Harrison Ford is a freakin babe! But I just don't like sci-fi in general and I really don't get the hype.

  4. M.,

Harrison Ford is a babe! He's on my top 3 of babest babes ever (right next to Christian Bale and Michael J. Fox). I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I swear JetBlue is the only airline I've traveled with that is actually nice to me! It doesn't hurt that my cousin works for them too and I have had a lot of buddy passes handed over to me ;)

I am vegetarian. I eat fish once in a while, so I suppose you would label it as pescotarian.

Female singers... where do I start?? Florence and the Machine, Eisley, Metric, Coco Rosie, yeah yeah yeahs (Karen O), Kate Nash (even though she sucks live!), Lily Allen... ugh, I could go on forever, there are so many more!!!

  6. not going to lie, I have a star wars tattoo...haha...but only because it sums up my 5 years in film school and the passion George Lucas had for those three silly movies.

I'm pretty sure the same mockingbirds that are terrorizing us are hanging around your house too...thanks to the rain, they've taken a break...

  7. Beca, we have a sort of awning that hangs over outside of our bedroom window and there is an ac unit connected on our wall... I swear they live on that thing and i can hear them 6 inches to the left of our window. We've done everything to get rid of them: thrown water at them, blew an airhorn, bought a fake owl, let our kitty sit in the window... NOTHING has worked :(

  8. Just curious…

Why don't you like LOTRs and why are you an athiest?

  9. I tried to watch the first LOTR when it came out, I just couldn't get into it. I don't like fantasy movies in general and I get really fidgety in movies that are as slow, long and boring as those.

I am atheist because I'm a realist and only believe in what I see. I believe religion was made for people to be civil toward each other and have faith in something. This is definitely something that could be argued and talked about (on both ends) for days.

  11. Danielle, Paris was amazing! I went with my grandparents so I did the most touristy things and we were only there for two full days, but I would LOVE to go back and explore more!
