After a friend said Rose Byrne (Wicker Park, 28 Weeks Later) was my doppleganger in Insidious (I just don't see it) and hearing that this movie was great, unpredictable, oh and my love for horror films, I had to see it.

My opinion: this movie dragged. To me, it was totally predictable and there were so many long, drawn out scenes. The music/loud noises they played in just the first 5 minutes of the opening credits even made me want to walk out! I also think the best actor overall was played by Lin Shaye, random.

What I am really looking forward to is Scream 4! We're seeing it immediately when Jon gets home from Boston.

I can list 100 horror flicks that I love to death, what are some of yours?

  1. I love horror films! I am kind of all over the place with my taste, but here are some of my favs:

    Rosemary's Baby
Night of the Living Dead (orig)
    Ringu (orig Japanese version)
    Rec (orig Spanish version)
    The Orphanage (del Toro)
    The Exorcist
    The Omen (orig)

  2. Rosemary's Baby. Classic.
    The Exorcist, of course!

I suppose I should list a few of mine:

    À l'intérieur ...aka Inside (french)
Let The Right One In (swedish version only)
High Tension ...aka Haute Tension (french
    Rosemary's Baby
    The Exorcist
    The Shining
    Pet Sematary
    Child's Play
    The Gate
    Scream 1, 2, 3
    An American Werewolf in London
    Stir of echoes
    The Secret
    28 days later and
28 weeks later (are these considered horror?)
    The Sixth Sense
    The Ring

  3. and sometimes I actually enjoy the cheesy american made horror films like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Strangers, Halloween(s) and The Devil's Rejects

  4. horror films scare the bejesus out of me, but i still want to see scream 4. the thrillers are the most scary: silence of the lambs and the shinning.ekkkk!

  5. I love cheesy horror movies like Dead Alive, Re-Animator, Army of Darkness, etcetc. I can't do creepy horror.

I hear Scream 4 sucks too :( I hope its not as bad as I've heard so you two can enjoy it!

Also, I don't see the resemblance between you and that actress at all!

  6. I am a huge horror film junkie. I love the feeling of being anxious and scared shitless when I watch a really good scary movie. haha.

I wanted to see insidious but it was pg13 so... I didn't think it was worth it to go see it in the theater and good thing I didn't!

Saw scream 4 when it came out, let me know what you think. I don't want to say anything so you can get the full experience haha.
