Necromance

Necromance is hands down my absolute most favorite shop in the entire world. There are two locations in Los Angeles, just a few doors down from each other on Melrose Ave. Necromance has been around for nearly 20 years and I was introduced to these lovely little macabre hobby shops just a few years ago on a trip to LA. I immediately fell in love, definitely the most eccentric shops I've ever stepped foot in.

Since then I have acquired cute earrings, rings, diaphonized rat, diaphonized frog, pig embryo in jar, seahorse in a vial, tons of cards, postcards, and much more!

I mean clearly I need this for my future wedding:

Necromance sells the most amazing jewelry, home decor, taxidermy, prints, postcards, skull collections, old medical devices, pharmaceutical bottles, books, artwork, accessories, the list goes on... I wish this place was my house, I want to live here. They also do consignment. In fact, after I bought my favorite ring from Necromance, I found the etsy shop who make the rings and fell in love with a bunch of their other stuff too!

Needless to say, if you're ever in/around/within 100 miles of Los Angeles, be sure to check it out. Don't forget to say hello to Darwin and Donner, the wonderful two greyhounds that lay around the shop.

It's a lot of fun. My boyfriend and I would go all the time when we were living off Melrose.

  4. I've been to the one on Melrose... my boyfriend and I loved this shop. Did you take the pictures yourself? I was hoping to get a few good shots last time I was there but there was a "No Cameras Allowed" sign on the door... Regardless, it's a neat shop. I wanted a pair of seahorses! Maybe next time...

  5. Megan, I have not been there, but that looks like something I would enjoy!

Tiffany, are there not prices listed on the website?

    Danielle, yes! California is amazing.

Brenda, the collage photos I took outside of Necromance. They really do get on your case about cell phones and cameras. I got all the store photos from their website: http://necromance.com
